In fact, your child can have the beginning stages of gum  disease without noticing any pain or discomfort. Since gum disease can  be undetectable, it\u2019s important to watch for warning signs in order to  prevent the disease from worsening!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Signs to watch for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u2022 Gums that appear red or swollen<br>\n<br>\u2022 Gums that feel tender<br>\n<br>\u2022 Gums that bleed easily (during brushing or flossing)<br>\n<br>\u2022 Gums that recede or pull away from the teeth<br>\n<br>\u2022 Persistent halitosis, or bad breath<br>\n<br>\u2022 Loose teeth<br>\n<br>\u2022 Any change in the way teeth come together in the biting position<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your child is having these symptoms, schedule an appointment right away by calling our San Diego office and our team.
